Our logo is the badge of St. James the Great, celebrated on July 25th (except in Russia where his feast is August 30th). His traditional badge is the scallop or cockle shell. This example was made in the 14th Century at his principal shrine in Compostela, Spain, and is now in the collection of the Museum of London.
